About Capurro Insurance
Capurro Insurance & Investments Limited is a proudly family-owned and operated business with a heritage dating back to 1876.
The Company is a part of a family of Companies that have all developed from it's founder Mr A M Capurro who incorporated A.M. Capurro & Sons Ltd.
Mr John Arthur Capurro who managed A M Capurro & Sons Ltd for 50 years, diversified the business into other activities. Although the Insurance business has always been part of the group from early days, John Capurro had the interest to expand in this sector.
In the 1980s, the Financial Services Commission requested that a separate entity should be formed for the insurance part of the business so as to keep the company interests separate, which is when Capurro Insurance and Investments Limited was incorporated.
In 2014, we were delighted when the Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation commissioned a documentary about our company as part of their Business Heritage series. The programme follows the evolution of our business over many years.
Today, Capurro Insurance continues to evolve — proudly family-led, firmly established in Gibraltar, and recognised as a leading insurance broker.
With a growing European presence, we continue to expand our reach and capabilities, providing tailored insurance solutions for both local and international clients.
